Sharing some Fall Favorites with you!
There is something so cozy to me about Fall! I am one that is all about pumpkin everything, sweaters, jeans and everything else that is associated with the season. That smell of the crisp morning air and the feelings of chilled nights by the fire that make my heart feel full and warm! I have pulled together some of my favorite things I do during this season, and that are my fall favorites!!
First, find yourself that pair of jeans that fit just right and looks great with a pair of your favorite boots and a flannel or tunic paired with a scarf, and your set! All our a staple to feeling a bit cozy!
Next, grab yourself some of your favorite coffee! Now here I will add a dash of cinnamon or pumpkin spice to the grounds before brewing and when its done I will top it with some delicious whip cream or frothed milk and sprinkle the top with a dash of cinnamon, or a drizzle of caramel. So much yumminess in a warm mug! If your not a coffee lover, there are plenty of tasty teas! And you can add a dash of spice to those as well. You may also like a warm mug of apple cider… yum and you can add a cinnamon stick to it as well for some extra goodness!
Ok now you need to find yourself a great book that you can kick your feet up, grab that fuzzy blanket and plop yourself in your favorite spot to read. If you have the option to light up the fireplace, here is your chance! There is nothing like the smell and the sound of the crackling wood. Enjoy your moment of down time!
I don’t know about you, but with the cooler weather I enjoy making soups, stews or chili recipes! Add either one of these with crusty bread and that is warmth right in the tummy!! I can taste it now.
We love adding some cornstalks, pumpkins and mums to the house outside! It gives our home that fall feeling before you even make it inside. For the evening, you may want to add some lanterns, or small orange lights to give the house an extra fall feeling!
When I was growing up my mom never really used candles. She would make her own mixture of some things and simmer them on the stove! I can still remember that smell. It would make the house smell so good and bring all the warm feelings of fall! I added a little recipe below for you to try out! If your not into the whole simmer on stove thing, there are so many wonderfully smelling candles out there that you can burn or use in a melt warmer! One of my favs is of course pumpkin!
There are so many things that make fall one of my favorite seasons. Its such a beautiful and colorful time of year, which seems to go by so fast! I hope my Fall Favorites have gotten you in the mood for fall, and now go grab your cozy blanket and enjoy!
